2. Hotel Durban – cosmopolitan eats in a gallery-themed hotel

It’s located at the heart of Poblacion, a famous food and bar crawl spot with bars and restaurants, and also 7 minutes from the Power Plant Mall in Rockwell Center with cafes, al fresco restaurants, a supermarket, and cinemas – convenient if you have gifts to buy or a crew to entertain on your trip.

 4. Artemis Place Makati – a quieter stay good for wedding entourages

If you’re planning a wedding or family gathering, Artemis Place Makati offers big spaces complete with suites with kitchens and dining areas, living rooms, and spacious bedrooms to host a large crew. City Garden GRAND Hotel is within the same price range as Seda and nearby too, but we’d pick this if we had absolutely no time to cook and preferred to have dining and party options closer to our staycay spot.

Rooms here start from 28 square meters and can hold from 2 adults and 2 children, and come with coffee, tea, newspapers, bottles of water, cable TV, free WiFi, and a work-friendly desk.

If you’re heading into the city, make a pit stop at Spice Cafe for its breakfast buffet or a la carte lunch from 7am to 2pm daily. As the hotel overlooks Poblacion, we wouldn’t miss its endless dining choices either – read our guide for more. Century City Mall is just down the road for your shopping needs as well.

At the end of your day, chill in the 32nd floor pool open 6am till 10pm upon appointment and kick back at the poolside Firefly Restaurant, open 7am to midnight. Even if you don’t drink alcohol, detox fruit and veggie combo drinks are available there too for a healthy change.
