Benibana Beauty Hub, named after a Japanese flower with a name that means “withstanding any weather,” is an eye-catching salon whose pastel walls are adorned with the foliage of hanging and potted plants.

Salons are a big deal in Japan, so we won’t be surprised if you’re looking for Japanese salons when it comes to your pampering needs. Fortunately, there are a few in Metro Manila such as Kiyosa where you can get your hair treated using products flown straight out of Japan.

The hype around open spaces has also reached beauty salons, as exemplified by The Bloc by Junie Sierra & Co. It’s an open, airy space combining white marble, wooden panels, and sophisticated chandeliers, balancing modern and traditional elements.

If you’ve been wanting to sport a hairstyle inspired by your favorite K-Pop idol, there’s a place for your beauty needs at Bangs Prime, run by the people behind equally beloved salon Tony & Jackey. It’s managed by Korean hairstylists who pride themselves on their years of experience.

They are known for using hair care products exclusively from Korea and Japan in their services such as Hot Perm and Hippie Perm. Hot Perm includes Prime Aqua (P1,499, ~USD29.17), while Hippie Perm is a trend in South Korea recently that allows your hair to give off an elegant, effortless look.

5. Cuts 4 Tots – child-friendly salon

6. The Color Bar – specializes in hair coloring

Every salon does hair coloring, but not all salons master the art behind it and set the bar a notch higher as The Color Bar does. They can color your hair any way you want it – pink, green, violet, blue, or what have you, as their staff are specifically trained in hair coloring.

8. Nora Hair Salon – Japan-based women’s salon with modern graffiti murals

Believing in the confidence and beauty of an independent woman, Nora Hair Salon is a minimalist, industrial-themed salon adorned with murals of a strong, independent woman. It is originally from Omotesando, one of the districts in Japan known for its hub of salons.
