BGC bars and clubs

Bonifacio Global City or BGC in Taguig is known as a hub for big corporations and startups alike. But after hours, the business district transforms into a vibrant nightlife.

Whether you want to switch up your regular drinking spots or you just want to explore the lesser-known but equally happening nightlife in Taguig, check out these 14 BGC bars and clubs, including affordable and upscale options.

What do I need to know before visiting a bar in the Philippines?

Individuals of legal drinking age are welcome to enter bars and clubs in the Philippines. However, many establishments in urban areas enforce a no-sandals policy and may discourage men from wearing sleeveless shirts and shorts.

Read reviews of the bar you’re planning to visit to make sure the bar you’re visiting suits your preferences and to avoid any dubious establishments.

Many places allow walk-ins but if you’re going in a big group, it’s best to check out the bar’s socials to find out how to make a reservation.

Lastly, drugs are prohibited in the country so refrain from bringing or consuming drugs at bars and clubs to avoid legal consequences.

What are the alcohol laws in the Philippines?

In the Philippines, the minimum legal drinking age is 18. So, it’s essential to carry a valid ID as proof of age when visiting bars and clubs.

Additionally, be aware that liquor bans may be enforced in specific areas on certain days. These bans are commonly imposed nationwide during election seasons. However, localities may also declare them during religious holidays such as All Souls’ Day and Holy Week.

While this usually doesn’t impact tourists, this could mean that the bar or club you’re planning to visit will have fewer patrons and will be less lively than usual.
