Couple’s wedding features Filipino street foods

Weddings are often formal and grand, but a couple who just tied the knot in Batangas begs to differ.

To remember their good old high school and college days, newlyweds Glend and Gabriel Librea treated their wedding guests to turo-turo or Filipino street foods as part of their post-wedding photoshoot.

Instead of glamorous poses, the couple’s photoshoot included a colorful assortment of local street foods such as proben, kwek-kwek, and isaw, among others.

Aside from paying tribute to their school days, the couple did the photoshoot to inspire other sweethearts to just enjoy their wedding. “We want to inspire ‘yung mga couples na magpapakasal na dapat cool lang sa wedding and enjoy the day lang,” they shared with Kami.com.ph.

Their guests are all seen naturally enjoying themselves in the photos, because according to the couple, the guests also consisted of their close friends. After the shoot, the couple’s wedding reception was held in Luntian Resort & Restaurant in Lipa, Batangas.

Indeed, couples don’t have to be pressured to hold a spectacular wedding day. Sometimes, couples can pull out inspirations from their everyday lives to make their big day memorable.

Tying the knot is a special day for couples, so it’s usually held with the bride and groom all glammed up. But adding a twist is always a good idea, as the Libreas showed in their street food-style post-wedding photoshoot.
