Lotlot de Leon shared throwback photos of Janine Gutierrez & Vico Sotto
Who knew that actress Janine Gutierrez and Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto actually went to the same school together when they were young? Thanks to Lotlot de Leon, Gutierrez’s mom, for giving us snippets of their past via throwback photos of the two personalities she posted on her Instagram on 3rd July.
The throwback photos show Gutierrez and Sotto dressed in cute denim jumpers and bathrobes while their faces are painted with what look like cat’s whiskers.
The two acted in a school play together

According to de Leon, Gutierrez and Sotto acted in a school play together while they were studying at the Philippine Montessori Center. “Kay bilis ng panahon…. Ang aking panganay na laging kasama dati sa school play at ang kanyang leading man ay walang iba kundi ang napakahusay na Mayor ngayon ng [P]asig,” de Leon said.
This can be translated as “Time really goes by fast…. My eldest who was always a part of school plays before and her leading man who’s no other than the capable mayor of Pasig.”

Given that the two back then were just destined to make names for themselves, it feels good to look at their photos and remember their younger days in school, de Leon reflected.
“Both meant to be great in their chosen careers! Napakasarap alalahanin at tignan! Nakaka-proud talaga! (It feels good to remember and look [at the photos]! This is really making me proud!”
Both Gutierrez and Sotto took notice of the photos

The throwback photos are making the rounds on the Internet, with Gutierrez and Sotto themselves taking notice of de Leon’s post. Gutierrez shyly commented “Mamaaaa” with tears-of-joy emojis, while Sotto also commented with the same emojis.

At the moment, Gutierrez is preparing for the release of her upcoming and first teleserye with ABS-CBN, Marry Me, Marry You, alongside Paulo Avelino. Sotto, meanwhile, just delivered his State of the City Address to his fellow Pasigueños on 2nd July.
