ABS-CBN’s Viral Scandal
You might have seen Viral Scandal trending on Twitter for the past few evenings. This new ABS-CBN teleserye is gaining attention on social media for tackling the subject of sex scandals and other societal taboos.
The series is produced by RCD Narratives, the production company behind top-rated ABS-CBN dramas The Killer Bride (2019) and A Soldier’s Heart (2020). It airs on weekends at 9.20PM on four different TV channels and is also available on four online video streaming platforms.
Daring storyline
Viral Scandal follows the story of a young architect Rica Sicat (Charlie Dizon) whose life becomes a mess when she gets involved in a sex scandal she didn’t even know she participated in. In fact, she has no memory of what transpired on the night she was filmed against her will.
The series also touches on other taboos such as sex education and feminism, particularly how women should be able to act how they want and wear what they want without being scared of harassment. Having always been outspoken about these, Rica is painted as a free-spirited gal by the people who know her, which leads them to believe she’s had the sex scandal coming.
With the scandal going viral and reaching the people in her neighborhood, her family begins to be subjected to criticism as well.

With Dizon as the main cast are Dimples Romana, Joshua Garcia, Jake Cuenca, and Miko Raval.
