MMDA to launch motorcycle training academy

That’s what the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) aims to achieve. Set to officially launch their very own Motorcycle Riding Academy on 27th September 2023, this is sure to open up new avenues for both seasoned riders and those itching to hop on a motorcycle.

The MMDA’s Motorcycle Riding Academy aims to demystify the world of motorcycling. Designed to cater to all experience levels, from novices to pros, this initiative prioritizes safety on busy streets of Metro Manila.

Expect a well-rounded curriculum covering essential skills such as defensive riding techniques, proper handling of motorcycles, and road etiquette. The instructors are seasoned riders themselves, so you can expect a practical and hands-on learning experience.

With the Philippines ranking 11th place on the highest rates of road traffic death, the MMDA aims to lessen the numbers through this academy, where riders will learn theoretical and practical aspects of motorcycle riding.

The academy will be open for enrollment starting September 27th. And the best thing about it is that it won’t even burn a hole in your pocket. The two-day training to be held in Pasig City is completely free.

Your gasoline will be taken care by the MMDA, too, so all you need is your helmet, protective gear, and yourself. With that said, you can count on the MMDA to make your experience easier than ever to acquire the skills needed to confidently navigate the city traffic.
