Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) 2021
It’s year 2 of online book fair events – and for readers who have always been on the lookout for fairs, the Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) is happening this year from 30th September to 4th October 2021.
The official Facebook page of the fair teased the upcoming event in a post on 3rd September, which also includes the website of the fair for this year.

We have yet to know further details on the event, but the MIBF has always been a big deal for many bookworms. Usually, an extensive selection of books from local and international publishers such as ABS-CBN Publishing and Penguin Books, as well as collections from the biggest bookstore chains in the country, such as National Bookstore and Fullybooked, are up for grabs.

Aside from the variety of titles, the fair may be accompanied by livestream talks with famous authors and webinars hosted by industry experts. Last year’s fair, for instance, had authors such as Danton Remoto and Stanley Chi discuss their books. Some of the topics tackled on the free webinars last year ranged from mental health to online businesses.
Given the limited information we have right now, excited readers should stay in tune for more updates by following the fair’s Instagram and Facebook pages.
MIBF 2021
It’s going to take a while before we can enjoy the thrill of hunting for as many books as we want in huge, physical book fairs.
For now, we can at least add to cart in the comforts of our home and conveniently wait for our orders to arrive on our doorsteps.
