The Rhicrafts’ Filipino food phone cases
If you’re one of the foodies out there who can’t get enough of Filipino food, you might want to flex what you love through these adorable phone cases from local arts & crafts store The Rhicrafts!
Based in Quezon City, the store sells miniature decor and accessories inspired by all things Filipino, but their most popular items are their Filipino food phone cases featuring street foods and our favorite ulam dishes.

The store takes inspiration from street foods such as isaw, fishball, and taho. Replicas of these foods on The Rhicrafts’ transparent phone cases are sculpted and colored in a way that makes them look almost real.

Puto bumbong, our favorite dessert from the streets especially during the Christmas season, is also reimagined on one of their designs. The miniature puto bumbong has everything right about the beloved classic dessert, and almost looks like the real thing. Butter, grated coconut, and muscovado sugar – sweet flavorings usually sprinkled on top of the dessert – are sculpted with such painstaking attention to detail that you might mistake them for the actual flavorings.

And if you think nilagang baboy can’t be cool, the ulam has been transformed into a phone case as well, complete with slices of pork, potatoes, carrot, cabbage, and Baguio beans.
According to Rhica Toledana Obien, the store’s owner, she hadn’t been able to find a unique case she had wanted for her phone, so she created her own instead. “I always want to have different and unique phone cases, but unfortunately wala po akong makita or magustuhan online kaya one time, bigla ko na lang po siyang naisip na, why not try Filipino food since wala pa naman po ako so far na nakikitang Pinoy food phone cases,” Obien told News5.
This can be translated as “I always want to have different and unique phone cases, but unfortunately I couldn’t find anything I like online, so once, I suddenly thought of making phone case designs featuring Filipino street food since I hadn’t seen Pinoy food phone cases.”
The phone cases retail at P1,350 each
Each phone case retails at P1,350 (~USD28.29), and is customized upon order. Due to the high number of orders, the store is already fully booked with orders for the year 2021.
But if you are not in a hurry to get your smartphone a new accessory, send them a message on their Facebook page.
