Bebang HaloHalo
Halo-halo is such an iconic, traditional Filipino dessert that people don’t often think there’s any more to it. A small food business in Mandaluyong, however, begs to differ.
Bebang HaloHalo sells premium halo-halo with innovative twists. These include halo-halo with 24-karat edible gold flakes that turns the common summer delicacy into a fancy treat.

Bebang HaloHalo went viral on TikTok for its Royal Halo-halo topped with a generous amount of edible 24k gold shavings. A toasted marshmallow topping also elevates the dessert.
It even has strawberry jam and pistachios which aren’t commonly found in halo-halo. Bebang HaloHalo also uses shaved frozen milk instead of just shaved ice, similar to the Korean shaved ice dessert bingsu.
Of course, the royal halo-halo still includes many of the dessert’s usual ingredients such as sago (tapioca pearls), gulaman (gelatin), nata de coco (coconut jelly), coconut shavings, ube (purple yam), and macapuno (coconut sport). At the bottom, there’s also a thick layer of leche flan (caramel custard).
Because of its premium ingredients and extravagant toppings, a serving of Royal Halo-halo costs P498 (~USD8.84).

Bebang HaloHalo offers other halo-halo options which are also made creamier and richer with shaved frozen milk.
The variants Special (P138, ~USD2.45) and Presidential (P168, ~USD2.98) are closer to the halo-halo we know but are slightly modified. For example, they contain sweetened saba banana with a hint of cinnamon.
Bebang HaloHalo also has Mango Graham Caramel, Banana Cinnamon Con Yelo, Matcharap, and more flavors.

For something to eat with halo-halo, the food business also offers hotdogs starting at P188 (~USD3.34). They have premium hotdogs, chorizo, and chorizo-mozzarella with toppings including jalapeño, caramelized onions, and ground beef. You can also pair this with thick-cut fries (from P108, ~USD1.92).
If you’re eating with someone who doesn’t like frozen desserts, they also have taho – a silken tofu snack – in ube, strawberry, chocolate, and blueberry flavors.
Delivery in Metro Manila
The food business is not accepting walk-ins at the moment.

You can choose to pick up your order or have them deliver these to you. Note that there are areas in Metro Manila that their in-house delivery cannot service. Payment can be made via GCash, link payment, or cash on delivery.

This pricey halo-halo may not be practical to have every time it gets hot in the metro, but it’s certainly a dessert to treat yourself to every once in a while.
