Baguio’s Arca’s Yard

While Baguio is dotted with the most Instagrammable corners from parks to gardens, Arca’s Yard, a 15-minute drive from the city center, is a rustic, three-story elevated house nestled in the mountainous hills of Baguio that you shouldn’t miss.

Surrounded by panoramic views of the City of Pines, Arca, which also stands for Activities & Renaissance for Culture & Arts, has a cafe, museum, and library. It’s the place to go whenever you want to enjoy a sumptuous meal while getting your culture fix.

You can see paintings on its walls by Baguio-based artists Michael Parsons, Roland Bay-an, and Roger “Rishab” Tibon, while sculptures such as wooden spoons, wooden bowls, and figures of rice gods (bulul) give you an idea of the way of life of Cordillera’s indigenous communities.
