Sining to the Moon in Antipolo
Heads up, art enthusiasts – a brand-new art fair is happening near the metro! Sining to the Moon in Antipolo will have art exhibits featuring a wide diversity of local artists as well as exciting art workshops.
The free-entry event will be held on 2 consecutive Saturdays, 20th and 27th May 2023, at Crescent Moon Cafe. Guests will get to appreciate art from 9am to 5pm.
Art exhibitions

Emerging and established individuals and collectives will exhibit their works at the art fair. These include sculptor Lanelle Abueva-Fernando, and local art groups such as ARTipolo. Artworks from beneficiary communities such as the inmates from Sulyap sa Nakalipas will also be on display.

Sining to the Moon will share its platform with guest artists. This includes Jovel Lorenzo who’s known for his photography that uses a 1800s-style street box camera that he built himself.
Vibal Books will also have a booth at the art fair, selling titles on art, heritage, and history.
Workshops and performances

Guests will not only get to appreciate the works of local artists but learn from them as well. There will be workshops, including a basic hand-building pottery class on 20th May.
The event will also showcase the performing arts. On opening day, kundiman music will be provided by the Antipolo
City Band. University of Rizal System Antipolo’s HIYAS Dance Troop will also be performing folk dances.

We can look forward to more events like Sining to the Moon as the local government aims to introduce Antipolo as a creative city, with art destinations and a thriving community of artists.
