Employees of Jollibee and McDonald’s Philippines are considered frontliners during the pandemic, as they have to continue serving customers. So it’s good news that the management of these two popular fast food chains are taking steps to vaccinate their employees.

For instance, Jollibee announced on 23rd March that it will vaccinate all of its employees, including employees from its other restaurant chains, including Chowking, Mang Inasal, Greenwich, Burger King, Red Ribbon, Panda Express, PHO24, for free. They will also vaccinate their staff from commissaries, distribution centers, and those with support functions, and those under the Jollibee Group Foundation without charge.

The Jollibee Group is also looking forward to acquiring more vaccines to cover their employees’ dependents, extended family, and household members.

According to McDonald’s Philippines President and Chief Executive Officer Kenneth Yang, the free vaccination program is to ensure the health and safety of their workers. “With the health and safety of people being our top priority, we will be providing the COVID-19 vaccine for free for our frontliners – crew and managers, in all company-owned restaurants nationwide.”

Our Jollibee and McDonald’s frontliners indeed have to face risks every day, as their job requires them to physically interact with customers most of the time. So we hope that other restaurants will also see to the safety of their frontliners and find a way to make vaccines accessible for them. Also check out:
