It’s a high school romance set in the Philippines with an international cast that comes from different racial backgrounds. This includes Singaporean actor Raynold Tan who plays one of the leads.

The Day I Loved You is set in a fictional Bright International School in the Philippines. The plot revolves around top student Nikko (Tommy Alejandrino) whose life gets tied up with rule-breaker Eli (Raynold Tan).

The series will not only make you feel kilig but also angst. It involves a love triangle with Nikko’s childhood best friend, Justin (Rabin Angeles), who has a secret crush on him.

Tommy Alejandrino, who plays Nikko, is a Filipino indie film actor. In 2022, he won Best Actor at the Cinemalaya Film Festival for the film The Baseball Player, which also bagged several awards.

On the other hand, Raynold Tan is a newbie Singaporean actor who first caught people’s attention as a TikTok creator.

The Day I Loved You is produced by Regal Multimedia, Inc. It’s directed by Easy Ferrer, who’s also the brain behind the 2022 BL series Ben X Jim.
