Free online events in July 2020
Early on in 2020, we probably filled our planners with all the exciting activities, travels, and conferences we were looking forward to attending. Fast forward now to the middle of the year, here we are, stuck at home due to the pandemic.
But we don’t have to sulk over the lack of physical gathering we can do outside. Fortunately, the world has very much adjusted to doing things virtually – and for July 2020, free online events abound from local plays to webinars on emergency fund tips and content creating. Here are 10 of these free online events we Filipinos are welcome to attend.

The productions include Lam-ang, a reimagining of the epic from the Ilocos region, Mabining Mandirigma, a depiction of Apolinario Mabini’s heroism, Coriolano, a Shakespearean play about a soldier who turned into a tyrant, Pangarap sa Isang Gabi ng Gitnang Tag-Araw, an adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Der Kaufmann, an adaptation of The Merchant of Venice, and Sandosenang Sapatos, a short story about a father’s love for his disabled daughter.
While tickets are free, you can also opt to donate by purchasing Kapamilya tickets or depositing to their BPI and GCash accounts.

Traverse Journey, a travel agency based in the US organizing small group trips, will be holding a virtual tour to Iceland alongside a chat with Icelanders. You’ll learn how the pandemic has reached Iceland, how travel will be in this distant part of the world post-COVID, and experience a virtual tour of Traverse Journeys’s Magic of Iceland.
