Purple 7 is a BTS-themed cafe in Quezon City
Filipino ARMYs had probably been planning to visit places in Seoul where BTS have been to, until COVID-19 struck.
Fortunately, while fans put their K-pop pilgrimage spot list on hold, there’s a local cafe in Quezon City called the Purple 7 where they can spoil themselves with everything BTS.

The cafe’s a must-visit for every fan – every corner is plastered with images and merchandise of the award-winning K-pop group.

There’s even a photo corner – lined with albums, mini dolls, picture frames, and standees – that’s adorned with a neon sign that says “BTS & ARMY are each other’s Polaris” in a reference to what’s also called the North Star which travelers in days of yore navigated with.

Owned by BTS fan Dianne Aguilar, the cafe has been accepting dine-ins since 3rd December 2020 after they opened for take-outs in August 2020.

While indulging your inner fanboy or girl, you can take a quick snack in the cafe with bite-sized cookies, jar cakes, and tin cakes.
You can start with the Chocolate Chip Cookies (P190, ~USD3.95), but if you’re craving for more sweets, order a slice of Red Velvet Cheesecake (P200, ~USD4.16) from one of their jar cake menu items or reward yourself with the Choco Cheesecake Overload (P600, ~USD12.48) from their selection of tin cakes.

Pair your sweets with their bottled drinks (P155, ~USD3.23 each) that are each designed with a chibi-style drawing of a BTS member.
Flavors include hazelnut latte, Irish cream latte, strawberry milk, white mocha, dark mocha, caramel latte, and vanilla latte, and the bottles will definitely make cute take-home collectables too.

You can take home a set of BTS merch too by staying on the lookout for the cafe’s promos. For example, you can buy 2 bottled drinks along with a tub of cookies and get 1 set of Map of the Soul ON:E concert freebies.
Past events such as A Cupsleeve Event for Kim Seokjin & Kim Taehyung held on 18th & 19th December saw merchandise sets consisting of airholders, photocards, mini tickets, and sticker strips going up for grabs, so look out for future events in the same vein too.
Open daily, except Wednesdays

At the moment, Purple 7 is only accepting customers from 15 to 65 years old. Social distancing is also observed, and be sure to wear your face mask and face shield when you visit.

Besides their daily afternoon opening hours except Wednesdays, they offer takeout orders on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 1pm to 3pm, and dine-ins as well as pick-ups, on the same days from 3pm to 6pm.
From Friday to Sunday, the cafe accepts walk-ins, take-outs, and pick-ups from 1PM to 3PM, and only dine-ins are allowed from 3PM to 6PM.

Take note that reservations are needed for dine-ins, and you can book a table by signing one of their forms online. The cafe is unfortunately fully booked for the holidays, but you can make your reservation now for January 2021.
BTS-themed cafe in the Philippines
Filipino ARMYs are indeed one of the biggest standoms we have, so it’s no wonder why cafes such as Purple 7 Cafe have been popping up in the metro recently.
Hopefully, as more BTS-inspired hangouts soon appear, there’ll be more places where ARMYs can share their love for our Bangtan Boys.
