For theater and drama geeks, the Theater Treasures is worth looking into. It offers an array of theatrical productions that you can check out throughout the month of September.
You can go see Rama, Hari for a more cultural experience or you can check out Bawat Bonggang Baagay to go the interpretative route. You can even go see all of them if you wanted to as each production will be held on different dates and locations, so you can plan your theater marathon accordingly.

2. Vintage Beauty and Us One art exhibits

If you’re an art lover, then you can hop on the bandwagon and check out the Vintage Beauty and Us One art exhibits in Pasig City. You’ll get the best of both worlds in seeing the earth’s beauty, and abstract and representational art of different forms through each artist’s eyes.

3. Tilly Birds Live in Manila 2023

Here’s one for Filipino fans of Thai alternative rock music. Thai rock band Tilly Birds is making their way in the country for the first time ever for the Tilly Birds Live in Manila happening in Quezon City.
If you’re a fan of rock music, this is a great way to widen your rock music horizon made by listening to other cultures, in this case, Thai.

4. Billkin & PP Krit Asia Fan Meeting 2023

Here’s another set of Thai artists making their way to the Philippines. If your fans of Thai duo Billkin and PP Krit, here’s your chance to meet them at the Billkin & PP Krit Asia Fan Meeting 2023 happening in Pasay City.
ICYDK, the Thai actors are the stars of coming-of-age boys love series I Told Sunset About You. So if you’re into boys love series, you can check out their series and catch them in person in this fan meeting.

5. Otaku Musika Festival 2023

Otaku Musika Festival happening in Pasig City is another Otaku festival to jot down on your list, especially if you’re a music lover. This free event offers two days of fun activities from a cosplay competition to Japanese karaoke contest where you can win up to P3,000 (~USD52.66) of prize money.
Like every Otaku festival, feel free to roam and check out various Japanese-themed merch and more.

6. Tanglawan Festival 2023

The Tanglawan Festival 2023 happening in Bulacan is another festival you may you want to look out for if you want to check out a week’s worth of activities from fashion shows to firework displays.
You’ll get to witness ribbon-cutting ceremonies, attend gala nights, and even participate in light festivals that showcase the culture of San Jose. While it’s a bit beyond the metro, the experience will be worth the trip for sure.

7. Awake: A New Beginning

If you’re going beyond the metro, the Awake: A New Beginning happening in Cebu will definitely be worth the trip as Sandara Park, a.k.a. the “pambansang krung krung” of the Philippines, is among the artists performing live at this concert.
What’s more, you’ll be able to watch other K-pop groups, such as Viviz, Younite, and MB Crew, perform live. So if you love K-pop, then this is the event for you. You can check out K-pop music to add to your playlist and at the same time, reminisce with Sandara Park and listen to her latest songs.
