If you’re craving Japanese snacks, you can never go wrong with takoyaki. It’s savory, fried batter with diced octopus and veggies, making for a burst of flavor you just can’t help but pop into your mouth even while it’s hot.
While takoyaki has a classic taste, Takoyaki ga Daisuki in Sta. Rosa, Laguna puts a fancy twist on it with their special takoyaki. This one-of-a-kind offering is topped with whole baby squids and garnished with edible gold shimmer dust, costing only P95 (~USD1.89).

Besides their gold-garnished takoyaki, this dining spot offers a variety of other flavors. There’s the kaniyaki (crab and cheese takoyaki) and the ebiyaki (dried shrimp takoyaki with red ginger and veggies).
Cheese lovers should get the cheese bomb (P55, ~USD1.09) variant for a burst of melted cheddar. On the other hand, if you’re not sure whether you’re craving Japanese food or pizza, you can get both flavors with Takoyaki ga Daisuki’s pizza-yaki (P80, ~USD1.59).
