TBA Studios To Release Dito At Doon On Netflix On 2 Sept, Film Tackles Pandemic-Era Internet Love

Dito at Doon on Netflix starting 2 September

Romcom film enthusiasts probably know TBA Studios for their iconic 2017 film I’m Drunk, I Love You. In case you missed it, though, the production company released a new romance film, Dito at Doon (Here and There), on 31 March 2021.

While the film was released earlier this year, viewers will now be able to watch it on Netflix starting 2 September 2021. The film, starring JC Santos and Janine Gutierrez, talks about an internet love that feels as if it’s happening offline.

Dito at Doon had premiered at the Osaka Asian Film Festival 2021 held on 5 to 14 March before it was released to the public on 31 March.

Due to the lockdown, it was shown online through various platforms instead of the cinemas. Fans were able to watch it on KTX.ph, Ticket2Me, Cinema ’76 @ Home, iWantTFC, Upstream, and TBA Play.

The film was produced by TBA Studios in association with I’m Drunk, I Love You actor Paulo Avelino’s WASD Films. It was directed by JP Habac who was also the director behind I’m Drunk, I Love You.

Dito at Doon follows Len (Janine Gutierrez)’s and Caloy (JC Santos)’s lockdown love story which began when the two were introduced through a video call by their friends, who are a couple themselves. Despite their differences in opinions at the start, romance blooms between Len and Caloy.

Although the characters Len and Caloy only interacted online throughout the movie’s plot, the film is shot in a way that shows how the characters felt as if they were together. However, Len and Caloy’s connection is tested by distance and the fact that they’ve never met in person.

TBA Studios to release Dito at Doon on Netflix

With an ongoing global pandemic, it’s hard to stay updated with the latest film releases. Lucky for JC Santos, Janine Gutierrez, and TBA Studios fans, the film Dito at Doon will be available on Netflix soon.

Surely, many viewers will relate with the film’s characters with the story revolving around internet love, social issues concerning the lockdown, and popular pandemic coping mechanisms.
