Siam Station Is A New Thai BL-Themed Cafe Where Fans Can Get BL Merch From Photo Books To T-Shirts

Siam Station, a Thai BL-themed cafe

If you’ve been a hardcore fan of Thailand’s Boys’ Love (BL) series lately, you’re probably planning to take a pilgrimage all the way to the Land of the Smiles to visit the places associated with your favorite actors.

With COVID-19 restrictions still in place, travelling is sadly not yet possible, but this new cafe in Angeles City, Pampanga named Siam Station is the closest you can get to actually attending a fan meeting with Metawin Opas-iamkajorn and Vachirawit Chiva-aree of the hit 2gether: The Series.

The cafe serves all things Thai, from drinks to snacks sourced from Thailand, but what will excite BL fans is their huge collection of merchandise.

For starters, this is where you can find a comprehensive selection of BL items, from DVD box sets of Dark Blue Kiss (P3,100, ~USD64.13) to Sotus (P4,950, ~USD102.39) to Theory of Love (P2,990, ~USD61.85) and to Still 2gether: The Series (P3,000, ~USD62.06).

For those who still can’t get over Tine and Sarawat from the romantic TV series Still 2gether, you can spoil yourselves with items inspired by their show. The cafe has various memorabilia including CDs, postcards, and a signed Still 2gether photo book (P2,150, ~USD44.50) containing photos of all the memorable scenes from the series and a signed poster that you can display in your room.

To complete your collection, you can also add the 2gether: The Series-themed jerseys (P1,500, ~USD31.04) you can wear with pride in Zoom video calls or fandom meetings!

But if you don’t want to hurt your wallet at the moment, the cafe has more affordable items available such as copies of Kazz magazine (P850, ~USD17.59, each copy coming with a photo card), a Thai monthly fashion and lifestyle magazine that’s hard to come by around bookstores in the Philippines.

And if you cannot visit the shop in person yet due to quarantine restrictions, you can have all your merch items delivered straight to your door, wherever you are. Siam Station ships nationwide via LBC and can also process transactions through Cash on Delivery (COD).

The beverages are made from Thailand-sourced ingredients

Besides the fangirling or fanboying, drink their Thai beverages with ingredients sourced from Thailand to your hearts’ content. The bestsellers are the Pink Milk or Nom Yen (starts at P100, ~USD2.07), a drink made up of Sala or Salak syrup and various types of milk, and the Cha Yen or Thai Iced Tea (starts at P100, ~USD2.07), a brewed Ceylon tea mixed with milk and sugar.

Bring Thai snacks to your home

Snacks, such as Mama OK instant noodles with wrappers featuring faces of Thai actors, are available as well. Buy some snacks after savoring their beverages, or take them home with you. The snacks are available for delivery too.

The Siam Station cafe, despite its humble space, is indeed a must-visit haven for lovers of all things Thai culture.
