Puesto Is An Asian-Fusion Food Business In QC Selling Merch To Open A Physical Carinderia

Puesto holds merch sale to open a physical carinderia

Since its launch in 2020, the food business Puesto in Quezon City has always operated online. However, in 2021, owner Miel Ochoa is taking their brainchild to the next level – a physical carinderia where customers can best enjoy their vegan, vegetarian, and pescatarian Asian-fusion food.

On 31 July, Ochoa announced on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram that they will be selling merch to raise funds for Puesto’s physical carinderia. As of 4 August, the owner announced that they have signed a lease but the fundraising continues for renovations and repairs.

Update: Puesto has since successfully opened its carinderia on 25th August 2021 at 2A Road 20 Brgy Bahay Toro, Proj 8, Quezon City.

In particular, Puesto is selling t-shirts, tote bags, and aprons for P500 (~USD10.07) to raise funds for its physical carinderia. These merchandises have just one Puesto-inspired design but come in two colorways – porcelain and tricolor. You can also buy a 4-piece die-cut vinyl sticker pack with art inspired by the food business for P100 (~USD2.01).

To order, simply fill up their order form or message Puesto on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

If you’re not into brand-themed merch, you can still support Puesto by ordering food.

Their best-seller, pad thai (Thai stir-fried noodles), comes in two variants. Vegetarian pad thai costs P250 (~USD5.04) while shrimp pad thai costs P320 (~USD6.45) per tub. Puesto also sells these food offerings per tray for events.

They also have something on their menu for those who want a more familiar flavor. Their creamy tofu sisig (tofu seasoned with onion and chili pepper) costs P350 (~USD7.05) per tub.

Puesto owners sell merch to achieve dream carinderia

Great things can be achieved with talent and hard work, but a little bayanihan (teamwork) also goes a long way. By purchasing merch or food from Puesto, you get to be part of a dream come true.

You’re not only helping one person realize their dream, too. You’re also helping vegans, vegetarians, and pescatarians in the metro have one more place to enjoy good food.
