Dingdong Dantes’ Foundation Connects Pinoys Who Lost Job Due to COVID-19 to Work-From-Home Jobs

Dingdong Dantes’ foundation connects Pinoys to work-from-home jobs

COVID-19 has put many Filipinos in a tight financial position, especially for those who cannot opt to work from home, and have thus lost their jobs as a result.

This uncertain situation has prompted Dingdong Dantes, former National Youth Commission Head, to connect Filipinos to work-from-home jobs through his foundation, YesPinoy.

#SanaOL

Since 3rd April, the YesPinoy Foundation has been collaborating with Jobstreet Philippines, Workabroad.ph and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in the #SanaOL campaign, which helps Filipinos who lost their jobs due to COVID-19.

There are over 2000 work-from-home opportunities available on Jobstreet Philippines, as well as freelance alternatives.

There are also job openings for those without any job experience and graduates with K-12 qualifications.

How to apply

Applying for the jobs can be done with only a few steps. First, click on the link found on Jobstreet Philippines’ Instagram bio.

You will then be led to their Facebook page, where you can choose from 4 job categories: Work From Home Setup, Freelance Roles, K-12 Friendly Job, and No Experience Required

After choosing your preference, you’ll see a list of job postings.

Fortunately, the jobs available aren’t just for the quarantine period. But those looking for temporary work only until the end of the quarantine period can opt for freelance and part-time positions. Dantes clarified this on his Twitter account, and also launched a Twitter Q&A session on 6th April to answer queries about the campaign.

No Filipino should be left behind

Due to the spread of COVID-19, the economy is struggling and Filipinos are hurting financially. But thanks to initiatives like YesPinoy’s #SanaOL campaign, we can ensure that no Filipino will be left behind in the fight against COVID-19.
