If you’re looking for something worthwhile to watch over the Christmas holidays, the local video streaming site KTX has you covered.
From 20th to 31st December, the platform will be streaming different digitally restored Filipino films, perfect for taking a trip down memory lane, including childhood favorites such as Sarah… Ang Munting Prinsesa (1995), romcoms such as Radio Romance (1996), and many more.

The digitally restored Filipino movies that will be streamed on KTX are from diverse genres.
There are romantic dramas such as Aga Muhlach and Lea Salonga‘s Sana Maulit Muli (1995). There are also light romance flicks such as Marvin Agustin and Jolina Magdangal’s Hey Babe! (1999).
For holiday spooks, you can watch Haplos (1982), Patayin Sa Sindak Si Barbara (1995), and Magandang Hatinggabi (1998). Isusumbong Kita sa Tatay Ko (1999) is also a must-watch if you have a Fernando Poe Jr. fan in the family.
If you want your holiday to still be educational, KTX will also be streaming the highly-acclaimed films Ganito Kami Noon…Paano Kayo Ngayon? (1976), Dekada ’70 (2002), and Markova: Comfort Gay (2000).

As for child-friendly movies both kids and kids at heart will enjoy, there are also Cedie (1996) and Ang Pulubi at ang Prinsesa (1997). 90s kids would also love to rewatch the 1997 teen flick Flames: The Movie.

To purchase a ticket, simply make an account on the KTX website and check out tickets to the movies you need to watch. Tickets may be paid through e-wallets, online banking, or over the counter at banks and payment centers.
Each ticket gives you access to your chosen movie for 72 hours starting the scheduled streaming date and time.
Also known as ABS-CBN Film Restoration, Sagip Pelikula is ABS-CBN Corporation’s digital film restoration project. To celebrate the first year of the Sagip Pelikula Festival on KTX, they are doing this roundup of all their 2021-released, digitally restored films at the end of the year.
Watching these digitally restored Filipino films makes a great indoor family activity to fill in your holiday schedule and may even bridge generation gaps, even just for a couple of hours.
