After some delays due to COVID-19, the wedding of a favorite Kapuso couple Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez will finally happen this coming November. To prepare for their ceremony, they just released their prenuptial photos that followed a romantic, country-themed photoshoot.
Taken by photographer Pat Dy and his team, the portraits were shot in San Juan, Batangas.

Surrounded by nature, the two exuded the spirit of a happy couple with old-world, vintage glam. Abellana, for instance, wore a white lace dress with a brown hat, while Rodriguez matched with her dress with his neutral-toned suit.

They also went for playful poses, with some photos showing them dancing and performing ceremonious rituals.
It’s no wonder the couple is making us feel the joys of a romantic, spring love affair. According to photographer Dy, the photoshoot was meant to evoke a lighthearted mood.
“It’s always about finding that sweet spot (photography wise) that’s appropriate for my couples. From shooting on a mountain with a dark editorial, high contrast look[,] [t]his time, a much lighter mood with Tom and Carla for their engagement shoot,” he told his followers on Instagram on 20th October.

Aside from their vintage-themed photoshoot, they also donned casual & formal wear to diversify their looks. A photo depicts Abellana wearing a printed, long, brown dress while she lies on the grass with Rodriguez holding her from behind. In another photo, she is elegant in an off-shoulder, cream gown, while Rodriguez is dashing in a formal black suit.
Having been in a relationship since 2014, the couple met through the GMA-7 show My Husband’s Lover. They announced their engagement in March 2021, and in November, we will see them walk the aisle in Batangas.
Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez indeed took us to another era with their prenuptial photos showcasing what a happy couple looked like in the old times.
Huge congratulations to the couple for reaching this far. We’re excited to see how they will stun us yet again at their wedding.
