First on this list is Good Taste Cafe & Restaurant, a staple Baguio restaurant that locals frequent and tourists visit every time they visit the city.
Chopsuey rice meal

This iconic food spot serves well-loved Filipino recipes such as chopsuey (stir-fried vegetables), and different types of sinigang (sour soup) and pancit (noodles). However, it’s best known for its addictive buttered chicken (starts at P219, ~USD4.18).
Also a cafe, it offers a wide variety of cakes and pastries.
Since it’s a popular food spot, expect long lines to get into Good Taste, especially during peak hours – lunch and dinner time.

Farmer’s Daughter Restaurant is located inside Tam-awan Village, a recreation of a traditional Cordilleran village. It serves traditional Cordilleran cuisine so you can truly immerse yourself in the area’s indigenous culture.
Kinuday jen baboy (smoked pork)

Every Baguio tourist must try their kinuday dishes (starting at P150, ~USD2.86) made with smoked meat that’s then boiled, steamed, stir-fried, or pan-fried.
Traditionally, this was served during thanksgiving rituals or kanyaw and was also a great way to preserve meat before refrigerators existed

Canto Bogchi Joint is a restaurant overlooking a part of Burnham Park. It’s a modern, white structure with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, making it hard to miss.

It’s known for its barbecue pork ribs, Lomo ribs (starting at P340, ~USD6.49), served with mashed potatoes or brown rice. This also comes with a salad made with vegetables, strawberries, local cheese, and peanut brittle bits, making it unmistakably Baguio.
The homegrown restaurant has moved locations three times but because of its delicious recipes, it’s gained more and more patrons.

Inside an unassuming building on Session Road is a huge, whimsical restaurant, Oh My Gulay, owned by national artist Kidlat Tahimik.
It serves vegetarian dishes, including Bandilang Pula (P175, ~USD3.34) – red rice, seasonal veggies, and tofu topped with an omelet and Mongolian sauce. They also have a variety of pasta dishes such as Anak ng Puttanesca (P175, ~USD3.34).

Besides being a vegetarian restaurant, it’s home to Victor Oteyza Community Art Space (VOCAS) which exhibits local artists’ works. The space, however, is art in itself, peppered with one-of-a-kind wood carvings.

The popular Baguio restaurant Grumpy Joe may have moved to a new location, but it still serves the same American diner favorites its patrons know.
Spicy seafood pesto

One of its best-selling dishes is its spicy seafood pesto (P280, ~USD5.34) served with a generous amount of shrimp, squid, and mussels. Of course, the restaurant offers other American diner staples such as burgers, pizzas, and wings.
Grumpy Joe’s New spot in Gibraltar has modern, tropical interiors, and Spanish-style flooring, which is refreshing compared to the restaurant’s old spot on Leonard Wood Road.

Because of its homey interiors, going to Gypsy by Chef Waya feels as if a chef friend simply invited you to their home for a meal.
This Baguio restaurant has an expansive menu of Asian and European cuisine. You’ll want to order a lot of dishes on their menu, but fair warning, their offerings are quite filling.

You should definitely get Gypsy’s highly raved porchetta (P1,350, ~USD25.76) which is a kilogram of crispy, juicy pork belly. So those with dietary restrictions can enjoy their scrumptious food, too, vegan and keto meals are also available at the restaurant.
Besides Gypsy’s cozy interiors, there’s also al fresco dining available. Plus, the restaurant is pet-friendly so your fur baby won’t be left behind at your accommodation.
The restaurant accepts walk-ins, but it’s best to book a reservation during peak season.

The Barn offers scenic dining, a cliffside, barn-like structure with floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the mountains of Baguio City.
It serves artfully plated Italian and Filipino fusion food you will enjoy even more with live saxophone music.

This fine-dining restaurant is best known for its steaks. Its rib-eye steak (P3,450, ~USD65.82) is more than enough for two people and comes with a side of mashed potatoes and mixed veggies.
Reservation is required to dine at The Barn. For your convenience, also note that it’s hard to get a cab in the area so it’s best if you take your own car.

113 Wagner Cafe has a rustic vibe that looks straight out of a fairytale, making it perfect for a date. In particular, it’s in a greenhouse with a glass ceiling, red brick walls, and, of course, plenty of plants.
Farm Fresh Food set

The restaurant has three set menus that are good for two or four people. One of these, the Farm Fresh Food set (starting at P3,950, ~USD75.36) comes with their much-raved seafood linguini and Angus beef strip loin steak.
113 Wagner Cafe accepts diners by reservation only. To place a reservation, message them on social media at least two days before your desired date.
