If you’re traveling to the Visayas, Bohol is a place you should consider. The island province has unique attractions such as the famed Chocolate Hills, Hinagdanan Cave, and tarsiers.
For a place to dine in Bohol that’s like an attraction in itself, go to Mist in Panglao. Besides serving great food and drinks, the restaurant is also popular for its tropical forest-like interiors.

Since it’s an island province, tourists should grab the opportunity to enjoy seafood in Bohol.
Mist occasionally has freshly shucked oysters for P499 (~USD9.43). If you’re not into raw seafood, you can also enjoy their deep-fried mud crab drenched in flavorful black pepper sauce (P999, ~USD18.88).

To try different seafood dishes, you can get one of Mist’s set menus. The Ocean Treasure set (P745, ~USD14.08) includes cucumber crab salad, king prawn thermidor (boiled prawn with rich wine sauce), and fried and steamed pompano.
Those who want to enjoy both seafood and pork can also opt for their Surf and Turf set. This has stuffed crab, stuffed squid, garlic shrimp, pork ribs, and salmon sashimi topped with caviar.

Diners also go to Mist for their drinks. The restaurant serves different refreshing, fruity cocktails daily.
A new addition to their cocktail menu that you should try is the Passiocolada (P229, ~USD4.33) – vodka and rum with passion fruit and coconut milk.
For some caffeine, the restaurant serves a fruity, espresso-based frappe. Malibu Coconut Vanilla (P235, ~USD4.44) is espresso with coconut syrup topped with whipped cream and a mini bottle of Malibu rum.
If you want neither alcohol nor caffeine, you can also get one of their fruit-flavored smoothies.

To give people equal chances at dining in the restaurant, reservations aren’t allowed at Mist. And because it’s a popular food spot in Bohol, the queue is often long and can take up to 2 hours.
So if you want to dine at Mist and enjoy its aesthetics, make sure to line up earlier than the time you want to have your meal or drinks.
Like other popular places in the Visayas such as Coron, El Nido, Boracay, and Cebu, Bohol also has a wide range of attractions to offer tourists.
Among them is the restaurant Mist, with its great food, unique drinks, and aesthetic, forest-like interiors.
