Marikina’s Passenger Seat Resto Serves Ice Cream Sandwiches So You Don’t Need To Fly To SG

Marikina’s Passenger Seat sells ice cream sandwiches

Besides sightseeing around the Marina Bay Sands or Esplanade, if there’s one thing we miss about visiting the Lion City, it’s stopping by a street vendor along Orchard Road selling an ice cream sandwich, a brick of ice cream wrapped with bread or wafers.

But something close to the real thing is actually available right on our shores – Passenger Seat, an airplane-themed restaurant in Marikina, is serving the dessert in 7 Filipino flavors!

The flavors include ube, yema & cheese, and Choc Nut

At P75 (~USD1.50) each, the ice cream sandwiches in rectangular shapes are covered with wafers, exactly like the ice cream sandwiches you can eat in Singapore!

But the twist comes in the flavors of the sandwiches, as they include ube, yema & cheese, and Choc Nut – flavors that are unique and familiar to Filipinos.

Other flavors on offer are strawberry, melon, pandan, and coffee, which are also served by our very own sorbeteros.

The restaurant’s menu also has boodle fight meals

Aside from the ice cream desserts, if you’re feeling famished, you can also check out their boodle fight meals with your friends or family. The Boodle Flight (starts at P280 solo, ~USD5.58; starts at P585 group, ~USD11.65) meals come with all things Filipino from tilapia to chicken inasal to daing na bangus.

For foodie travellers excited to fly around the world soon, the Passenger Seat is indeed a must-visit!
