Busan PH Is A Korean Street Food Train That Has Stations In Central & Southern Luzon

Korean food train

Food might be the last thing you’ll think of when you remember the 2016 South Korean zombie movie Train to Busan. The gastronomic geniuses behind Busan PH, however, beg to differ.

Busan PH is a Korean street food train-concept store that serves Korean dishes, from street food to set meals. They have several branches, which they call stations, in Central and Southern Luzon, particularly in Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, and Pampanga.

Traditional & trendy Korean street food

Busan PH’s food trains have street food that can be found in any major street in South Korea.

These include the spicy stir-fried rice cake tteokbokki, odeng (fishcake), mandu (dumpling), and gimmari – noodles wrapped in seaweed then fried. They also offer a selection of gimbap (seaweed rice rolls) and jumeokbap (rice balls).

A serving of these traditional snacks starts at P50 (~USD0.98).

Besides traditional Korean street food, the food trains also serve trending street food in South Korea, such as chicken bites (P100 to P120, ~USD1.97 to USD2.36) in classic and spicy and Korean street toast (P120, ~USD2.36).

Korean set meals & samgyeopsal

These Korean gastronomic food spots also serve set meals.

The Chijeu (P239, ~USD4.70) and the Chingu (P419, ~USD8.24) are snack combos that can feed 2 people. Yeobo (P579, ~USD11.39), on the other hand, is a more filling combo for 2 that includes cheese ramyeon (instant noodles), cheese tteokbokki, bibimbap (rice with meat and veggies), and samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly).

If you want to feast on Korean food, there’s also the Mukbang combo that has samgyeopsal, 2 types of bibimbap, japchae (stir-fried glass noodles), cheese ramyeon, cheese tteokbokki, and several types of street food.

It’s also no problem if you’re just craving the classic Korean dish samgyeopsal. Busan PH has samgyeopsal sets which include meat, rice, lettuce, and side dishes, namely kimchi, stir-fried odeng, and stir-fried beansprouts.

Busan PH serves Korean food from food trains

There are plenty of Korean food spots in Metro Manila, but Busan PH’s food train-slash-movie concept remains unique. Despite this, their food offerings are approachable and affordable for more people to enjoy.

With various stations, foodies who love Korean food and reside in the metro and its neighboring areas also won’t have to travel far to satisfy their Korean street food cravings.
