Adventure could mean a number of things for us such as going on a vacation, trying new things, or even reading a book that takes you to another world. For some of us, an adventure is disconnecting from reality for a while and appreciating mother nature’s creations.
Head on out to Balinsasayao Twin Lakes Natural Park in Sibulan, Negros Oriental if you’re fond of nature and want to see the twin lakes divided by a mountain range up close.

The natural park showcases the twin lakes Lake Balinsasayao and Lake Danao that’re divided by a mountain range.

You’ll be able to see the lakes side by side once you’ve climbed up the upper deck, where a dining hall is also located.

Right there, you can take photos with the twin lakes’ view or to amp it up, you can get on one of their swings attached to nearby trees and take an aesthetic photo.
Also, as you’re exploring a natural wonder, follow the rules and protocol and listen to your guide to maintain cleanliness, order, and your safety.

At the lake itself, there are a few ways in which you can get across – through boat rides (P250, ~USD4.77 per hour), individual paddle boating (P150, ~USD2.86 per hour), or simply hiking your way around it.
If you’re new to hiking, a guide (P300, ~USD5.72 for groups of three) can help you fully explore the grounds to make the most out of your visit.

If you prefer to hike without a guide, rest assured that trails and signs are there to guide you along during your expedition.

After a boat ride across or hiking your way around the lake, you’ll encounter Olayan Falls, where you can take a dip after a thrilling hike, boat ride, or paddle boating. It’s also another great spot where you can take photos, specifically by the rocks.

As Dumaguete’s considered home to many bird species, you can climb up their tower specified for bird watching and challenge yourself to find as many birds as you can.

If you prefer to stay the night, you can bring your own camping gear and set up camp almost in any free space you can find. You can camp at the upper deck or on the grassy fields below.

What’s more, as you explore, you can take a break in their dining hall or even have a picnic in one of their nipa hut-inspired mini stations that are set up all over the location.
