If your kid is showing interest in a new hobby and would like to explore it further, show your support by enrolling them in a class. Check out these 8 summer classes for kids in Metro Manila, from swimming to coding, to get your child a headstart in life.

1. Ready Steady Go Kids Philippines – multi-sport summer program

For kids with impressive athletic abilities, have them try different sports at Ready Steady Go Kids Philippines.

The sports lessons they offer are not limited to basketball, soccer, tennis, golf, rugby, and hockey. These are available for kids from 1.5 to 7 years old.

This multi-sport summer program costs P7,500 (~USD134.48) for 10 sessions covering 5 different sports. You’ll also need to pay an extra fee for a comfy uniform your child can run and sweat in.

2. Mahika Performing Arts School – musical theatre summer workshop

If your kid likes to belt out songs from Disney movies, enrol them at Mahika Performing Arts School.

This year, the school is holding a musical theatre summer workshop (P6.000, ~USD107.58) for budding Broadway stars. This is open to kids aged 6 to 10.

3. CPJ Warrior Taekwondo – learn the martial art from a former UAAP coach

Pave your child’s way to becoming a UAAP star and sign them up for classes at CPJ Warrior Taekwondo.

Here, kids as young as 3 can learn from a former UAAP coach who’s also won in an international taekwondo competition.

The martial arts school is conducting 3 class cycles this summer in May, June, and July. They hold classes in Quezon City, Mandaluyong, and Valenzuela. Rates start at P3,000 (~USD53.79) for one month.

4. Parkwood Playschool – prepares kids for kindergarten

Parkwood Playschool offers classes to prepare young kids academically and socially for school.

Their classes include kinder and first-grade boot camps, reading readiness, and handwriting gym (from P1,500, ~USD26.90). These are held online with only 10 students per session to make sure that the kids can follow along.

But if you want your child to learn at their own pace, they also offer Homeschool Boxes.

5. Pontem Music & Arts PH – one-on-one music lessons

Perhaps your kid has a future in Julliard. Pontem Music & Arts PH offers a variety of music lessons to help kids hone their skills, from singing to playing instruments such as piano, guitar, drums, violin, and saxophone.

They provide one-on-one lessons to kids 4 and up. You can even choose between online classes and home-service face-to-face lessons.

Music tutelage starts at P8,000 (~USD143.45) for 12 lessons. Classes are available all year round.

If you have a budding tech whiz in your hands, enrol them in Philippine Coding Camp.

They teach kids as young as 5 how to do graphic design, programming, game development, animation, and more. The classes are conducted online and taught by industry experts.

These STEM classes start at P5,000 (~USD89.66). But you can catch their 2+1 promo until 31st May 2023 where you get 10 sessions for free if you enrol in 2 classes.

7. Swimbeavers PH -swimming lessons at different locations in Metro Manila

Swimbeavers PH teaches kids basic and advanced swimming, as well as competitive swimming. These lessons are open for kids as young as 3 but they also offer survival swimming classes for toddlers.

The swimming school conducts lessons at different venues across Metro Manila, particularly Marikina, Quezon City, Manila, and Makati. If you have a pool at home, you can also opt for home-service swimming lessons.

Rates start at P3,500 (~USD62.76) for 8 sessions but it varies per venue.

8. Twinkle Toes Ballet and Music Academy – summer ballet program for beginners

To help your child achieve their dreams of becoming a ballet dancer, sign them up for Twinkle Toes Ballet and Music Academy‘s summer ballet program.

The program is open for beginners aged 2.5 to 8 years old. Classes will be conducted in several locations across the metro, including Quezon City, BGC, Paranaque, and Alabang.

Rates start at P3,800 (~USD68.14) for 4 sessions. You’ll also need to purchase ballet attire for your little one.

After the summer program, students are to perform in a recital in July.

The school also offers gymnastics lessons if your child is more inclined to sports.
