Nightmares Manila: Spooky Schoolhouse, Escape Rooms, Paintball Arena & Cafe In Parañaque

4-in-1 haunted house now open

We got a good chill down our spines at Asylum Manila back in 2019, and the same connoisseurs of creepiness are bringing us the brand-new Nightmares Manila that opens today at the same site.

Here’s what you can expect at the Parañaque City, Metro Manila haunted house to make up for all your missed Halloween group jaunts.

Nightmares Haunted Attraction, Haunted Schoolhouse, Zombie Assault, and Escape Rooms

The main draw of Nightmares Manila is called the Nightmares Haunted Attraction, and is based on a fictional story of a couple who adopted a ghostly child and later abandoned their house. This promises live actors whose mission is to scare, animatronic figurines, and Hollywood-inspired special effects as you walk through the area.

Don’t miss the Japanese-themed Haunted Schoolhouse that’ll conjure up memories of scary horror games and retro movies too.

For those who prefer some real-life combat with zombies, test your aim at Zombie Assault where your group must defeat the horde by shooting at them with paintball guns. Protective face gear and weapons will be provided.

If jump scares are not your thing but you prefer a mental challenge, prove your wits at the new Escape Rooms with puzzles and special effects with your barkada of 4-6.

They’re themed Escape The Serial Killer – which you have to do before he eats you for dinner according to the room theme’s description, The Heist, where you rob a murdered tycoon’s office, The Cell, where you have to survive a twisted gamemaster’s schemes, and the Pharaoh’s Curse where you have to escape a tomb and break an ancient spell.

Nightmares Cafe and souvenir shop

To refuel after all that screaming, head to the cafe that serves burritos, burgers, fries, rice meals, and milk tea that’ll get you back down to earth.

Details on the souvenir shop are not out yet, but needless to say you’ll be able to find some supernatural pasalubong or a memento of your trip.

Scare yourself silly while staying safe

Do note that those with respiratory and heart conditions, pregnant people, broken bones or casts, seizures, or any mental, physical conditions or sensitivity to fog or strobe lights are advised against the haunted house. And of course, wear comfortable clothing without heels or jewelery, refrain from touching the actors or props no matter how realistic they are, and avoid running and smoking in the venue.

Phone the attraction in advance to make a reservation. Payment through GCash, bank deposit, Paypal, or at the ticket booth can be done in advance to avoid disappointment.

Do remember to continue mask up indoors, observe handwashing and hygiene advice, and stay safe while you enjoy the brand new attraction!
