It’s always fun to look into Filipino celebrity weddings, whether it’s their photos on Instagram or their same-day edit videos on YouTube. The opulence of these events makes them a treat for the eyes.
If you’re looking for wedding inspo or just want to revisit exquisitely executed celebrity weddings, here are some 2023 Filipino celebrity weddings we loved, including the unions of Maine Mendoza, Pia Wurtzbach, and Alodia Gosiengfiao.

Actress Maine Mendoza and actor-politician Arjo Atayde tied the knot on 28 July this year. This was a significant day for the couple as it was the same day Mendoza “manifested” her crush on Atayde in 2013, the day they met for the first time, and the day Atayde proposed in 2022.
Their wedding took place in an intimate ceremony at Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges Chapel in Baguio City. The bride wore 2 gowns, one for the ceremony and another for the reception, both featuring tube tops and mermaid-style skirts.

While their wedding may have been simple compared to other Filipino celebrity weddings, the internet couldn’t get enough of the couple’s cinematic pre-nuptial shoot in Las Vegas, complete with a catchy soundtrack.

Pia Wurtzbach‘s wedding took the universe by surprise. People only knew about the Miss Universe 2015 winner’s union when she shared photos of her wedding on 24 March 2023, a couple of weeks later on May 5.
What helped keep the news of this union private was that she tied the knot with her Scottish-Colombian businessman and travel influencer fiancé, Jeremy Jauncey, at a luxurious resort on the private North Island in Seychelles. This wedding was also one of the most intimate affairs, attended by only 3 guests.

Wurtzbach donned a stunning, lacy Bessie Besana wedding gown with a high slit and did her own makeup, adding an even more personal touch to this special event.

Cathy Garcia-Molina and Louie Sampana being star-studded shouldn’t come as a surprise, given that the couple is a director and cinematographer, respectively.

The two had an intimate beach wedding in Zambales on May 2, 2023, attended by top stars such as Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. Their wedding also gave us a reunion of the Hello, Love, Goodbye cast, including Alden Richards.
Actor Ian Veneracion made the event special by paragliding across the venue to shower the couple with rose petals. Their rom-com-inspired pre-nup video also featured a hilarious special participation by top-billed actor John Lloyd Cruz.

Actress Maja Salvador and her entrepreneur partner Rambo Nuñez had a civil wedding in the Philippines on 14th February. But months later, they pushed for their dream, destination wedding in the beautiful island of Bali in Indonesia.
Despite being a destination wedding, they hosted a whopping 220 guests, including other Filipino celebrities, who stayed in villas, suites, and deluxe rooms at The Apurva Kempinski Bali.

Alodia Gosiengfiao‘s was nothing short of magical, as expected of the cosplayer and content creator who’s known for streaming fantasy videogames on Twitch.
The celebrity wed her businessman fiance Christopher Quimbo in a fantasy-themed wedding on 14th February 2023 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Newport City, Pasay.
The dreamy venue was adorned with flowers by internationally renowned events stylist Gideon Hermosa. Meanwhile, Gosiengfiao donned a heavily beaded Mak Tumang gown, a crown, and crystallized knee-high mesh boots by Doreen Odvina, making for a unique bridal footwear choice.
To add to the enchantment, the newlyweds were serenaded with classical renditions of video game themes, including “Those Who Fight” from Final Fantasy VII, by the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra.

After their Game of Thrones-themed wedding in Northern Ireland in October 2021, actress Glaiza De Castro and her Irish businessman husband David Rainey tied the knot for the second time in a Filipiniana-themed beach wedding ceremony.
Gideon Hermosa worked his magic to transform Sundowners Zambales’ beachfront. The venue featured Santacruzan-inspired arches made with woven bamboo, surrounded by a field of dry grass. The neutral colors from these designs added warmth to the golden hour, making the ceremony even more magical.

Meanwhile, the reception was designed with a blend of Filipiniana and European elements, perfectly encapsulating the essence of the newlyweds.
Fitting the theme, De Castro wore a 2-piece modern Filipiniana wedding dress with a cropped top adorned with flower details.

For the event, Poe wore a high neckline, puffed long-sleeved ball gown that’s fit for royalty. Her gown’s classic design blended perfectly with her statement jewelry from Imono, which included big, emerald earrings and a locket with her father, Fernando Poe Jr.’s photo.
Meanwhile, the groom, Blencowe, donned a timeless black tuxedo paired with a top hat, emphasizing the classic British-inspired affair.

One of the last Filipino celebrity weddings of 2023 is TV and events host Janeena Chan‘s Christmas-themed wedding.
On December 2, Chan exchanged vows with engineer Morgan Say at the Santuario de San Jose Parish in Mandaluyong. The church aisle was decked in Christmas trees and the venue was dotted with red flowers and ornaments styled by Gideon Hermosa.
Christmas-themed elements, such as red Christmas balls and mistletoe, adorned the bouquets of the bride and sponsors. The flower girls resembled Christmas angels, complete with wings and wreaths instead of traditional flower petals.
For the reception at The Upper Lobby of the Peninsula Manila Hotel, the decor featured rich red and green hues, along with a white-and-gold cake crowned with a Christmas tree.
Chan, who’s also a fashion influencer, showcased 4 distinct gowns throughout her wedding day. This included a stunning white ball gown with a rounded corset top which she wore for the ceremony.
These Filipino celebrity weddings in 2023 are certainly a delight to look back to with their stunning visuals. Whether or not you have plans to tie the knot in the next couple of years, they certainly make us dream of walking down the aisle!
